Hello again!

I'm Ekta. I've been in Bangalore for 7+ years now, which is the longest I've stayed anywhere. Before this, it was never more than 3.

I grew up in 7 states. My dad joined the Air Force, so we moved every 3 years. New school. New friends. New house. I said goodbyes too early but I held on to stories. I think that's where my love for storytelling began.

After college I got offered an HR role at a startup and said no. Then I emailed the same founder back with the subject line "a leap of faith" with one pitch: I'll do anything, but I want it to be creative. I want to create.

That was 4 years ago. Since then I've been the first marketer, the fifth hire, the person in the founder's office figuring things out before there's a playbook. I've built brands from nothing, written newsletters that reached 150k people, launched campaigns that nobody expected to work - and then they did.

I'm happiest when I'm building something from nothing.
